Had to work this morning and am meeting with a couple to discuss their wedding at 5:00, but between noon and 4:00 I went for a hike along the American River. There is a great little trail that traverses the hill side about 300 feet above the river. The trail was full of wildlife. Birds, butterflies, tadpoles, and much more. Within a couple miles I found this waterfall and had to stop for some photos.

Questions to ask your photographer

Whether you want a photojournalist or a more traditional photographer, there are key questions you need to ask before signing on the dotted line. Get answers to the most important questions before selecting a wedding photographer for your big day by following this detailed list.

1. What is the photographer’s style– traditional, photo-journalistic, etc.?

2. Does the photographer shoot in mostly color, black and white, or both?

3. Does he or she shoot digitally or with film?

14. What is the photographer’s rate?

15. What time will the photographer arrive and how long will he or she stay?

16. Is there an overtime fee?

17. What will the photographer and assistant wear?

18. Is my wedding album included in the fee? Are parents’ albums included?

19. How many photos are included in an album, and what layout will be used?

20. Is a deposit required? If so, how much?

Had some time today to get up to Lake Tahoe with my good friend Vernon. We played around on the rocks and had a great time taking advantage of the afternoon thunderstorm in the background. We left the beach with some good shots...here are a few.
